Fine Art Giclée Prints

All the prints in my galleries have been photographed by me over the past 25 years and, not surprisingly, represent some of my favourite images. Once I have selected an image to become a fine art giclée print virtually the only adjustments I might make will be to the colour balance, contrast, density and sharpness. I am a perfectionist so invariably that image is then test printed several times before I am completely satisfied. Only when I have a print that truly reflects the ambiance and inspiration I felt on the day I took it does it qualify for inclusion in my galleries.

I do all my own printing and in the print room I have Epson Stylus Pro 2400 and 7800 printers using pigmented Ultra-Chrome R3 archival ink technology for unmatched image quality. I also use the finest available archival papers and canvases available plus acid free mounts and backing boards. Every limited edition print is hand-signed and numbered on the print itself using a permanent ink pen and comes with a certificate of authentication also signed by me. Frames are British manufactured from top quality hardwoods with glass that is totally free from imperfections. Note that mounts and frames are only available at shows or at my gallery, we do not ship them out.

Open Editions

Most of my images are available as “Open Edition” prints. These are produced in exactly the same way and to the same high standard as the “Limited Editions”. The only difference being that they are signed but not numbered and there is no limit to the number we print. The intention is to provide lovers of nature the opportunity to hang in their homes high quality wildlife and landscape giclée prints at affordable prices.
Similarly if you have a favourite George McCarthy image and you cannot find that image in the web galleries please contact me via email with a description and, if possible, I will produce it as an open edition print at the same size and price ratio.

Limited Editions

By definition a limited edition is a finite number of prints of one single image. They are printed to a specific size and then numbered sequentially thus making each one an exclusive and unique product. Traditionally these editions can range from a small quantity up to print runs of several thousand. I restrict my editions from 25 up to a maximum of only 250. Keeping editions to such low numbers ensures that your exclusive print always remains highly collectable and one that, over time, should appreciate in value.

As a limited edition sells and the stock reduces the price of those remaining is progressively increased thereby ensuring your investment accrues in value. Furthermore once an edition has completely sold out that image size is withdrawn from sale forever, again increasing the rarity and value of your print. Art collectors have long since realised that it pays to buy into limited editions at an early stage as the price never goes down.

Lifetime Guarantee

To protect your investment every print comes with my exclusive lifetime guarantee. Should any sign of fading or colour shifting ever be noticed you can simply return it and I will replace it absolutely free of charge and with no questions asked. Incidentally Epson guarantee the colour fastness of their inks for a minimum of 75 years.

Where to Buy

My prints are sold in galleries (including my own) and at various craft and art shows that are held around the country. To see where we are during the year check out the DIARY page on the website. You can of course order via the Internet or you can buy direct from my home gallery in Sussex where I also offer a selecion of matting and framing options.

How to Order

In the first instance simply email your order quoting both the "Title" and the "Ref No" for precise identification and remember to also include the size of the print or prints you require. Please note that the sizes shown in the gallery pages are the dimensions of the artwork only after it has been framed and mounted. Remember we can only mount and frame prints for customers visiting the gallery or attending our shows.

Because we do not send them out framed or mounted we print to universal frame sizes allowing for the use of a standard mount. They are exactly the same sizes we use here in the gallery and at the shows and exhibitions. For example, if you have bought a 20”x16” framed or mounted print from us before you can be confident that your new print will match it precisely in print quality, paper type and size.

Please use the "Contact Us" form on this website to place your order. We will then confirm receipt and give you instructions for payment or the gallery address in West Sussex if you would prefer to collect. If you would prefer to visit the gallery and choose your prints there, again email us and we will be happy to arrange a mutually convenient appointment.

Shipping

Paper prints and canvases are sent out rolled and in rigid postal tubes, they are shipped fully insured and can be tracked online. Payment is accepted in pounds sterling (GBP) only. Shipping is free to UK mainland addresses on orders over £100 otherwise the cost is £7.50. Shipping to Europe is £10.00 and to the rest of the World £15.00.

For your complete peace of mind if you order via my website and are not totally happy with your print when it arrives, for any reason, you can return it within 14 days for an exchange, credit or a full refund.
